Reconsider

I've decided to give Shakespeare another chance. He was torment in Junior High when I had to read Romeo and Juliet and The Tempest in ninth grade. Then he came back for his revenge in Twelfth Night for my sophomore year. I mean, come on. I would have rather dug my eyes out with spoons than read another play by Shakespeare.

Then last night, I saw Much Ado About Nothing and I loved it. It was really intense in some parts, but it was amazing. Our Drama Department at school does a really good job. Anyway, my point is that I've grown up a little bit since my sophomore year, and my understanding of things has increased. If I can follow a Shakespeare by watching play, I should certainly be able to READ the play.

I'm sorry for being so ignorant of you, Shakespeare, but I'm ready to reconcile.

Ahh...

I'm glad I'm back in the Creative Writing class.

It forces me to be creative, which is something I should do more often.

For some reason I think the stuff that is forced isn't as good as the stuff that was written on a whim of inspiration.

I've compared both - they're about the same. And writing something is better than not writing anything! Right?

Inspiration

My thoughts have been centered on one thing the past couple of days; masquerade. It may seem random, but it's not. That's our school's dance theme for Sweethearts in February, and I asked someone on Friday, so it's not really random.

Anyway, I've been looking at things online thinking that if I end up going to this dance, I need to look fabulous, because Masquerade Balls are the essence of fabulous. I'm really excited. In movies I always see fancy dances, with gorgeous dresses and masks, and I've always been jealous. Even if my friend doesn't say yes to me, I'm still going. Nothing is going to make me stay home.

Here are a few of the amazing images I've been looking at for some ideas:

That ballroom scene from Labyrinth (one of the most amazing scenes I have EVER seen.)

This Scene in Another Cinderella Story - the dance was pretty amazing too!

I've been surfing the Internet and all the examples I can think of, I can't find good pictures. So sorry, but I think you get the idea.

Looking Back

Sorry, it's been so long guys. I must be a very busy girl. (That and the fact that I still haven't cleaned my room, so I'm grounded from the computer at home unless it's for homework.)

Today I decided to look back on my best posts of 2008. Are you ready?

Next up: New Year's Resolutions. They're written, but I need to find time to post them. (I need to find time to clean my room!
